Mom comforting Teen"Mom... I'm pregnant."

As dreadful as these three words are, if your child is pregnant, you should know about it...right? Not in Delaware!

What if your 16-year-old child wants to get a permanent, life altering and potentially dangerous surgical procedure? Should you know about it? Again, not in Delaware! Doctors can still perform abortions on teens as young as 16 without parental consent of any kind.

HB80 (Parental Consent for Minors Seeking Abortions) failed to pass a committee vote last week 6-5. The Democrat members of the committee all voted with Planned Parenthood and rejected common sense reasoning. Our laws require parental consent for tattoos, piercings, tanning, dispensing of Tylenol in school and almost all medical procedures....except for an abortion.

Something is terribly wrong with this and it's going to take replacing those legislators one by one to remedy it. DFPC has a plan and it starts with people like you. If you're not already a card-carrying member, please join our effort. Stay connected with us for valuable information that will equip you to educate your kids and those around you. Stand strong and vote well.
