Friend --
I just wanted to also pass along a video highlighting some of Media Matters' work and accomplishments this year. As you can see from the video, it's been quite a year.
Watch the video here: http://mediamatters.org/studios/video/201112220010
Thanks to your generous support, Media Matters is already more than halfway to our fundraising goal of $25,000. Can you help us reach our goal and strengthen our truth-telling efforts?

Friend --
Imagine, for a moment, that we weren't watching.
Imagine if Media Matters didn't diligently monitor television, print, radio, and online media and all of the misinformation, extremism, and right-wing chicanery were left to run rampant. If that's a frightening thought, you should make a year-end contribution to support and strengthen our work now.
Without Media Matters, Chick-fil-A would be quietly funneling millions of dollars to anti-LGBT campaigns with no one the wiser, Glenn Beck would still be peddling vitriol and deceit on a national TV platform, and opponents of EPA safety rules would have succeeded in dominating the airwaves unchecked. Without our team of real investigative journalists, we wouldn't have been able to produce dozens of exclusive reports to help fill the void created by inadequate media entities. And that's just a fraction of what we've done in 2011.
This year, we're hoping to raise $25,000 from grassroots contributions and we've already raised about $10,000.
Don't make it easy for right-wing extremists to dominate the airwaves. Don't let misinformation go unchecked. Make a year-end donation right now. And bring us that much closer to our $25,000 goal.
Sincerely,
Ari Rabin-Havt Executive Vice President Media Matters for America
